Ah well.

So people, I'm going to Malaysia for a six-day school trip tomorrow, and will be back on the 18th. By then, there would be a lot of pictures! And not forgetting the tag thing that I promised Nisa, so my blog won't look dead, at least for this month!

:)

Zzz...

I posted something yesterday from my mobile but apparently it wasn't uploaded... Now I forgot what my post was about.

Anyway, life's quite relaxing now, although I'm using this time to study for my final year examinations which are round the corner. Soon, I'll be free.... For two months.

I've continued composing some random metal songs again :D At least there's another thing to do other than study.

How about you people? Haven't heard from most of you in a long time.

After close to a month, I finally have time to post something. That's not because my projects are done, it's because the mentor mentoring my project hasn't replied to my queries yet.

So my life. Er... Horrible. As mentioned earlier I have a lot of projects and I need to come up with a lot of reports. For one project, I am required to write a report this week and yet my project has not advanced anywhere due to the busy schedule of the mentor. Failing this project means I will get retained in school in the same stream, which is pretty humiliating. In other words I get stuck as a Secondary 3 student.

And the bad thing is that I can't do anything to improve the situation because the mentor is too busy to help. It's not that it's entirely his fault; my group members are also damn busy with their CCAs. Ah well.

Life sucks pretty badly now. The Nov/Dec holidays are the main motivation that gives me energy to fight the stress I face now.

=(

Great.

Tomorrow I have another NCC crap that last three days. Its a course for promotion to the sergeant rank and soon we can drill our juniors. However the course itself is a freaking torture. I have to wake up at 4.30am in the morning and the course ends at 1800. With travelling time and dinner time i'll probably reach home by 2000-2100 hrs, only to cool down and go to sleep and wake up at around the same time again the next day. And I have to do that twice in a row.

Life sucks.

Hello.

Life sucks pretty badly right now. Not that I don't want to post anything on the blog, it's that I'm given so many project works, this June holidays don't seem like a holiday at all. More like a month without school but with schoolwork.

Anyway, the camp.

The camp was horrible, with us doing drills early in the morning. Basically from 1am to 3am.And I don't feel like talking much about that horrid camp.

I remember saying that I'll design a new blogskin for a new look soon. But I don't think it will be anytime sooner. Probably at the end of the year. My school starts in the last week of June, and then we have so many rubbish projects that are graded and constitute a percentage of marks for the final year paper in October. And then there are NCC courses, holiday homework, and studying for all subjects especially chinese since I failed it. And finally I have chinese O Levels. With everything cramped up in the second semester in Singapore, life sucks.

=(

Hello there!

I survived the camp! But it's late now, so I'll blog about the details of the camp tomorrow!

It sure wasn't a relaxing camp...

Haha!

On a darker note...

I failed chinese, but managed to pass the rest of my subjects. I almost failed physics though. 54/100
Life sucks. Now I need to buck up on chinese...
But first, I must find ways to reduce my memory loss... I've seen most of the chinese characters before, but I always forget them within the next 5 minutes... Anyone has any methods? Care to share? Thanks!

:(

Damn, I have NCC camp tomorrow.

NCC is like some army extra-curricular activity, so its going to be freaking irritating doing all those stupid drills. I admit i don't have much of discipline :)

Will return home on Sunday. Till then...

Three days of torture...

=(

Exams are over. I screwed up all three sciences, both maths and chinese.

I'm doomed. Now awaiting the results...

And now life's damn boring.

Damn.

Oh damn it.

The internet is interfering with my revision.

And worse, my current situation is horrid. I have to pass all the three sciences I am taking (and in my class I'm learning them accelerated, so its damn difficult for me) and my two maths or I get kicked out of the class. Chances are, I will fail physics and biology (and perhaps even chemistry, which makes up all the sciences I take).

And in my current stream (Integrated Programme, no need to take O Levels except for Chinese), I have to pass chinese to move on to the next level next year. Although I haven't failed chinese yet, I fear its only a matter of time. And now, as usual I'm still struggling with chinese.

I'm seriously doomed this year. Dammit.

Therefore, I will not post anything until the 13th of May (which I think is a friday), for that is when my exams end. It was supposed to end earlier, but since Singapore will hold the General Elections polling day on the 7th May, 9th May has become another holiday for us. Still, that holiday's meant for studying :(

Life sucks.

Ok people I intend to design a simple blogskin soon without using all these boxes. Just a normal, simple layout. I'm not sure when I'll be done with this, though. Hopefully I can finish it during my June holidays.

Now doing homework and studying for exams.... zzz...

HCM City - Day Seven

I knew this problem would arise. I forgot to resize the picture to the optimum size.

Day Seven. This is the picture outside the hotel we've been staying in for the first two nights.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Daily street activites.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Taking pictures of almost everything before leaving Ho Chi Minh City. But wait, we actually visited yet another place first!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The great Ho Chi Minh, for whom the city's named after. This place shows Vietnam's long history (not only during the Vietnam War, but way before that... The invasion of Mongols, the Ly Dynasty of Vietnam...)

Damn I forgot what this picture was about.

Random pictures...

And the highlight of the day... The water puppet show! Basically they move the puppets behind that green curtain and the puppet appears on the surface of the water.

It was pretty scary at first seeing this puppet "jumping" upwards and latching itself on the bamboo pole. It'd be cool to find out how they actually did that.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I actually have a video of the puppet show, but I'm not sure if I can upload it or not. Anyway, I realised that it would go to Youtube, and I doubt anyone wants to see a water puppet show, so nevermind...

The outside of the place. After this, we went back to Singapore.

Class photo with my tour guide (he's wearing the sunglasses). I'm on the extreme right, kneeling down.

The plane wing.

And that's it, the seven days in Vietnam. I do hope you enjoy the photos. And starting from today... The blog will get boring with almost no pictures at all... Because there is little to post about. But I'll will definitely try to post once per week.

=D

Ahoy there!

I have begun uploading photos of HCM city on Imageshack. It should be ready by this Sunday.

Recently, I've received a hell lot of homework. I decided to procrastinate (no homework due tomorrow, and the day after is a Saturday!) and attempt my homework later. I've decided to write a bit on my present life now, as it has been a long time since I did so.

Right now, I'm in an accelerated science class where my friends around me are way better than I am. I did not know how to do an entry test to enter the class, and randomly put in answers as a result (most were mulitple-choice questions, so there's 1/4 chance of getting the question correct), and somehow managed to enter the class by luck. Which means actually, I don't belong there at all. I scored quite badly in the first term examinations. So I was being overshadowed again. Then, I have a hell lot of projects to do (all related to science). I'm also participating in two science olympiads and I'm going to do damn badly for both. This is the 2009 international paper that was given out (we still had a national one first).

http://twijso.sec.ntnu.edu.tw/examination/2009_test_eng.pdf

Almost died when I saw the paper. So how did I actually manage to enter (not the national level yet, still the school level)? We had to take a test to enter this competition. And once again, the paper was so difficult and everything was MCQ so I randomly put in numbers again that indicated choices. And hell, I entered the competition through luck yet again.

From here, I deduce that, when I perform badly, it's actually normal; when I perform well, it's always because of luck and nothing else.

Life sucks.

Anyway that's my life now. Boring and stressful, and dark from being in the shadows. And I have no ability to change this fact.

=(

Screw! I blew my Picasa 1GB limit! Now I can only upload the photos of the last day on imageshack. I'll post the same way as i did, but this time i'll attempt to show the pictures from imageshack by using the HTML.

It should be up by next Sunday, owing to the sudden avalanche of homework from my school :(

Day Six - Bus Trip

Day 6 was like day 4 except that there was nothing to anticipate about. The following day was the day we would return to Singapore. I remember telling my friends the previous day that I wanted to sleep and never woke up again in this beautiful city. I ended up oversleeping. Was supposed to wake up at 5am, but woke up at 6.30am instead (my friend rang the doorbell to return something). Damn cool. Shows that we should be careful what we wish for.

So along the way, we visited a tea factory with plantations all around.

Inside the factory.

Dandelions! I was blowing and kicking every single one I could see, to disperse the seeds. Which means I'll probably damage the plantation; they're weeds :P

In the bus.

Around 6pm when we reached HCM city again.

And that's all. Day six was indeed boring. And worse still, nobody wanted this day to arrive. Like I said earlier, the next day was the day we would return home. And we'll get more stress from alot of homework...

Thinking of this day made me regret, why I didn't try to treasure every single moment I was there.

Dalat City - Day Five

Hell, I have the most number of photos for this day I think. This is the most enjoyable day of the trip, especially the mountain-climbing.

Dalat City, Day 5. This place is a perfect place. Very much like Taiwan. The city is part of the Central Highlands of Vietnam, so it's at the mountainous region. This is the outside of the Saigon-Dalat hotel.

Ok, we went many places during the fifth day. This is the agricultural place (some strawberry farm) and we had to pick strawberries.

A hidden strawberry. Hell, I was sweating, and the cool weather there made my sweat feel as though it was freezing.

Ok, the next place we visited. The valley of Love. For a boys' school to enter this valley, it's pretty weird. (Yeah I'm in a boys' school).

Interior.

The beautiful lake at the valley of love.

Boats. We spent a hell lot of time here. These boats are meant for couples to ride around the lake, but me and two other friends wanted to ride around as well, and so three people sat on a boat that was meant for two. And it was freaking small, only two people could steer the boat, so it was really tiring.

My friends in front. We were trying to chase them, but failed. It took us 20 min to get to the other side (I think if I swam I'd be faster) and 25 min to get back. We were almost late.

We disembarked on another place to take some photos before going back. Took 25 min, like i mentioned earlier, so no more photos upon returning back. We were about to give up and leave the third guy on one of the pier or throw him into the lake so that we can return back faster, but we started keeping one another's morale up, and finally we reached. It was pretty tiring, since we actually cycled to steer the boat, so I couldn't run back. But we managed to reach in time.

Ok, after leaving the Valley of Love we went to a nearby shop to buy foodstuff including our handpicked strawberries. I drank this unknown juice there for a sample and it burnt up my entire gullet. I think it's alcoholic....

Anyway, we had lunch, and after that we visited this flower garden. The sun was directly above us and there wasn't any clouds, so I was sweating profusely.

Following that we visited a Biological institute which showcased a lot of bio stuff, like evolution of animals and whatever.

Beautiful scenery.

And finally we reached the highlight of today's events - the climb up the mountain on a 5km route I think. It was freaking tiring. I was walking alone until I reached a group of people, one of whom was in the same class as me last year, and the other were three Indonesian scholars from his present class. We walked up the mountain together and were chatting with one another until we reached the peak.

Quite deserted, as you can see.

And finally, after around 40 min (I think), we reached the peak. Had some instant noodles and hot chocolate there as I was damn hungry.

The height of the mountain. Not the length of the route we had to walk.

After the ascend came the descend. I walked down the mountain, this time with a different group of friends. No one seemed to be behind us and it started to drizzle, there was no one in front from us that we could see also, so we stuck together and walked down. This is the beautiful sunset that we saw.

Down the deserted road.

And we finally reached the foot.

Finally after dinner, we went to the Dalat Night Market.

Bright and great place. I stuck to my Vietnamese friend so that I wouldn't get lost, as he came here before.

Yup, that's all.

Ok, the sixth day is quite sad, we did nothing much as we had to travel back to HCM city to fly back to Singapore on the seventh day. Now after seeing the photos, I wish I were back in Dalat...

=(
