With another ulcer surfacing, a bit of flu, and a wound I got after accidentally poking myself while working, I'm not quite in the mood to blog anymore...

But I must say, I got my pay today! S$600 for 15 days. Quite cool actually.

Took leave for today, since I had a slight sore throat and my freaking large ulcer stops me from communicating with the others. And I had to go to the doctor's for a flu jab.

Woke up in the morning and rinsed my mouth with saturated salt water (on purpose) in an attempt to destroy the ulcer. Apparently the pain has decreased but it's still there. Added some cream on it afterwards to speed up the healing of the ulcer.

After torturing myself through having breakfast (swallowing was still a difficult thing to do), I rested until 12pm when I went to the doctor. Had a flu jab (ouch) and I was given more cream to heal the ulcer.

When I headed back home I was freaking desperate so I decided to put salt directly onto my ulcer. It did not hurt until 3 seconds later when the pain set in. More horrible than the pain from the jab. And interestingly my lower lip bled for no reason. And the ulcer shrank such that it becomes half as large as before. Cool. Yet the pain's still there.

I spent the rest of the afternoon jamming on my guitar and trying to perfect the technique of sweep picking, a method to play lightning fast arpeggios on the electric guitar with clear notes without having the notes ring into each other. A really difficult technique. So far I can only do 3 strings arpeggios. =(

Later at night before I sleep, I shall rinse my mouth in salt water again. Tomorrow morning if the ulcer is still there I will apply the salt directly to the ulcer to cure it as well as wake me up in the morning.

Ah hell!

Today I had 肉骨茶 for lunch. Extremely spicy soup laden with lots of pepper and pork ribs (sorry if this is offensive to people looking at this post). Torturous yet nice. Once you drink the soup you never want to stop. It's located at the Port of Singapore Authority Building. Hell.

And I had another thing torturing me the entire day - tongue ulcers. They're freaking irritating, and mine covers half the side of my tongue. I'm going to try all means to have it removed. And I don't know why, but I seem to be biting it extremely often although I do know it aggravates the condition. Can't be controlled.

Tomorrow I shall wake up to another day of work. Communications with the people there would be a tough job with this stupid ulcer hurting whenever I talk and eat. Worse still it hurts even if I didn't move my mouth at all. Really irritating...

Hari Raya Haji. A day for me to relax.

Nothing much happened today (nothing actually happens much everyday). Was jamming away on my guitar with headphones, attempting to practice the 24th Caprice by Nicolo Paganini. But I could hardly play 1/3 of the song (or rather, etude). And I'm currently learning Canon Rock by JerryC, a heavy metal sped up version of Canon In D. But I still can't play half of it.

Several events happened today.

First, I was working. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I'm manufacturing blinds for my uncle. The factory was quite a distance from where I live, but hey, at least I earn the money.

Second, I bought this TRS plug adapter. It serves to allow headphones of a smaller diameter to be inserted into a jack of a larger diameter. This larger diameter jack is on my electric guitar amplifier which gives you the choice to either play with headphones or play with the built-in speaker. Since I work from Mon-Fri from 10am to 5pm, I can't play the guitar out loud, for this may disturb the neighbours. So I bought this adapter and used a set of headphones I had and I was able to play in the dead of the night without disturbing others at all. But the sound output from the headphones are far more distorted than the level of distortion i set on my amplifier (which is already the max), but it sounds great.

Third, I was accepted into my school's accelerated science class. And I'll be going to Ho Chin Minh City in Vietnam next year in mid-Janurary.

Funny, it's the school holidays here in Singapore, and I don't have a single visitor.

Today I start working. For my uncle. At a manufacturing-blinds factory.

It was quite a good job seeing that I don't sweat much although my legs are aching badly from walking to and fro to cut the fabric to make them into blinds.

Worked from 10 am to 5 pm. Now composing songs continuously. =D
