Fairness: the value that leads to destruction?
That's what I think.
Everytime you tell a driver not to drive to reduce air pollution, the driver will definitely say, "They also drive, why say me?" Tell a person to stop using electricity, he/she says, "USA not doing anything, why should we?" Continue like that, and no one will stop global warming.
This is the main reason why global warming hasn't stopped yet. Because everyone want fairness.
To the hell with the phrase "fair and square".
Nothing is fair in the world. And we shouldn't try to make things fair, otherwise the above scenario will happen. Fairness stems from jealously, it's natural that everyone has the flaw of being jealous. This can be counteracted with positive thinking, but teach fairness to the world, and you make people become much more jealous at everything others can do but they can't, and then they say. "Not fair".
Talk about fairness. I once told a friend, "There's nothing fair in the world". His reply that would destroy the world was "But we can try to make things fair". If we want to make things fair, let's look at the poor Africans. They have no water, no food, no suitable place to stay, yet they do not ask for fairness when compared with USA. They are having such a terrible life, and yet we dare to say, "Not fair" when others can do it but they can't.
So there's no point making things fair. Life was never meant to be fair. And it should stay that way, otherwise it will lead to destruction of mankind.
