Here is how I believe the universe is formed: Virtual particles are created out of vacuum, only to return back the energy and disappear again. Two pairs of virtual particle-antiparticle pairs are created out of the vacuum. One particle and one antiparticle annihilate with each other, disappearing. The two particles that has annihilate with each other must have positive mass with respect to us. The other two becomes real particles. The two real particles annihilate with each other, forming two gamma rays. Pair production of more particle-antiparticle using the two gamma rays takes place, forming only one pair of particle and antiparticle. One gamma ray is left. The particle and antiparticle annihilate with each other, forming two more gamma rays in the process. There are now three gamma rays. One is used to create another particle-antiparticle pair, which annihilates and produces two more gamma rays. As the number of gamma rays increase (two, one, three, two, four, three, five, four and so on), so does the annihilation of the particles, which sends out heat and light (and gamma rays), thus slowly the annihilation increases until the big bang occurs, where the extreme heat forms trillions and trillions and trillions of particle-antiparticle pairs. That's how I think the universe is formed. Positive mass = positive energy
